Cody Rawson-Harris is a second-generation animal trainer born and based on the east coast of Australia. For over thirty years he has worked all over the world on features, television series and commercials; not only preparing animals but educating the actors working with them.
His scores of credits are below – one of the most recent was Constantin Productions’ Black Beauty filmed in South Africa and directed by Ashley Avis.
Cody’s expertise is not limited to the film and television industry, he successfully trains horses for all the Olympic disciplines as well as for thoroughbred and harness racing. He can expertly work horses both in-hand and under saddle, and is an exceptionally talented carriage driver.
It was Ashley Avis who introduced Cody to The Wild Beauty Foundation outlining its aims to bolster awareness of the plight of her country’s wild horses. The Foundation advocates for their freedom and protection through promoting change in legislation.
