Lisa Nastasi received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2000 from
The Gordon Derner Institute at Adelphi University.
She trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) at the University of
Massachusetts’ Medical School. Lisa co-developed the Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy Program at New York Presbyterian Hospital where she was on the voluntary faculty. In 2002, she was interviewed by New York Newsday as an expert in wellness.
Lisa moved to London in 2004, and wrote about wellness for The Times UK. She also worked with trafficked persons and those seeking asylum at the Helen Bamber Foundation. She traveled to Rwanda and Belgium on behalf the NGO, Women for Women, and the private family foundation, Give Way to Freedom.
She currently lives in New York City with her daughter.
